Jud Heathcote!

Former Michigan State basketball coach Jud Heathcote cut down the nets for the final time this week, at the age of 90! College Basketball Hall of Famer Heathcote’s career pinnacle came when he was on the bench for the Spartans Magic Johnson led national title over Larry Bird’s Indiana State team in 1979, one of the most famous college games in history, in his third year at the school. In all, he would take ten teams to the NCAA tournament – Michigan State nine times and once previously as the head coach of Montana. He also coached the Spartans to three NIT tournaments, which mattered slightly more back then, but come on, seriously, that’s nothing.

And again that Rusakiiwicz is tied for total deaths this year, hitting double digits for the third time, and extending her pool lead with six year team member Heathcote! Well done!

Replacement pick due by next Tuesday!
