Rusty Staub!

Le Grand Orange himself!

Former big leaguer and commentator Rusty Staub called it quits here on opening day, at the age of 73! Staub played in the MLB for 23 seasons, for the Colt .45s/Astros, Expos, Mets, Tigers, and Rangers – tallying up the 13th most games played in MLB history, getting his number retired by Montreal and earning induction to the Mets Hall of Fame. A six-time All Star, his 2,716 hits are still 64th all-time, landing him neatly between Lou Gehrig and Bill Buckner, while his 292 home runs have him tied for 152nd with former Scranton/Wilkes Barre Red Baron Pat “The Bat” Burrell! He is 60th all time in RBI, 183rd in runs scored, 40th in at bats, and 64th in doubles with one more than (again) Bill Buckner. Eat it, Buckner!

And Sarah continues her epic early season run, tallying a seventh death in the first quarter, and cracking 200 points for the 8th straight year! Her 205 is currently one point less than the bottom 16 players this year combined. I mean, it’s still early, but Sarah is really locked in this year. We’ve gotta pick up our replacement game, folks! Well done!

Replacement pick due by next Thursday!
