Mary Carlisle!

The fifth-oldest person on the list to begin 2018, actress Mary Carlisle finally ended her epic retirement this week, at the age of 104! Born four months before the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, Carlisle’s entire film career spanned only fourteen years, from 1930 to 1943, appearing in a handful of Bing Crosby flicks, including Doctor Rhythm and Double or Nothing, as well as playing Mrs. Hoffman in the fifth Best Picture winner, Grand Hotel in 1932. She straight up retired from the acting game in ’43, spending the next 75 years in glorious retirement, just like the government intended! Sign me up for some of that!

And Dondos hits double digits in deaths, tying Sarah for most this year, and inching a little closer to third place overall! Nicely done!

Replacement pick due by next Thursday!
